mom jeans, senga, exciting nature walk...

I hate, loathe, despise, absolutely dread going jeans shopping because I just dont seem to fit quite right into anything out there. Today i again ventured out and tried on about 30 pairs...none that fit my shape the way i liked. I am very particular about jeans...i do not want skinny jeans (my stumps do not fit well into these) or jeggings or anything that has more polyesther then cotton. Additionally, i do not want a pair so low that i have to consiously think about my crack hanging out when i bend over to pick up one of the beasts. Finally i was in kohls and ventured from the juniors section, where i was having no luck, over to the misses section (aka the mom jean section) and well i finally found a pair of non-skinny, not super tight, 99% cotton, sit just right jeans. mom jeans. i am depressed and yet quite excited that somehow in the mom section i fit into a size 2. that my friends is a plus.
after i got home from jean shopping justin and the boys had just gotten home from the gym and after a quick lunch the boys went down for a nap and i ventured out on my bike. i have decided to name my bike, "senga" and if you look closely you will see that this is "agnes" backwards. My niece, Kate, has a pig friend (yes, like the actually animal) named Agnes who is a massive baby growing beast of a creature. i named my bike senga because it reminds me i am not a massive baby growing machine...in fact, we are definetly done with babies in case anyone was wondering. done. done. done.

finally, we ended our afternoon with a trip to walnut creek park, it is a fantastic woodsy area near our house that has a great creek running through it and tons of trails to wander on. we were excited to bring the boys there for the first time (its very rocky terrain so we hadnt ever attempted going with a stroller but i used to go a couple times a week with the 4 legged critters and its one of my favorite spots in austin) to play in the creek. as we pull up to the parking lot we find a couple of fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and news trucks...awesome until we were told the main trailhead was closed due to the ongoing investiagation. so we walked way around the side, found an alternate entrance, managed to convince a police officer further up the trail that we were not going towards their crime scene so he let us through and off we went to the creek. the boys loved splashing around and throwing rocks in the ankle deep water and justin and i enjoyed just watching from the shore :) its good to have boys who are rapidly growing up and becoming less dependent on us! please note the picture of justin and i...i had been in  a bike helmet thus my spectacular hair.
love this...
later we found out that all of the emergency response vehicles were there because a dead body was found in the creek...awesome. so we came home and did a good cleaning in the bathtub.
