Valentines Day 2011

Our valentines day  can be summed up in one word: messy. Here is how our day progressed:

Event 1: Heart-shaped pumpkin pancakes.
Mess #1: Heart-shaped pumpkin pancake batter tipping over onto the stove top

Event 2: Snow fell approximately 10 days ago
Mess #2: cars in desperate need of a wash

Event #3: i go for a bike ride
Mess #3: me (see event #3)

Event #4: beasts wake up from nap and go play in the backyard
Mess #4: Judah thinks dumping a whole dump truck full of sand on the floor is a good idea. he is wrong.

Event #5: chocolate covered strawberries
Mess #5: chocolate covered strawberries + Hunter and Judah

Note: we were skyping this grandma and grandpa at the time of the chocolate covered strawberry event and guess whose idea it was to paint ones face with chocolate...yep, grandpa. grandma just sat there laughing but did not attempt to stop the disaster...then again, neither did i :)

Overall, we had a very low key day that we spent together just like most mondays, but on this monday justin and i looked at each other, our boys, our surroundings and remembered just how incredibly blessed we truly are.
